GLOBAL GOALS

We have set ourselves a much bigger mission at FDisruptors to have an impact on the world in which we exist and create by aligning our mission with the UN Global Goals.

Aligning our mission with the Global Goals

In 2015 world leaders agreed to 17 goals for a better world by 2030. Their mission? To bring together communities, individuals and governments and to collectively use their powers to end poverty, fight inequality and stop climate change. Their target? to build a better future for everyone and we want in.

So here is how we are going to do it

Firstly, we’ve committed this to our 10 year plan – Yes, we know we don’t normally like to think beyond breakfast, but this is important because we know it requires long term energy and effort.

With your help our commitment we will be unshakeable – together we will plan for it, tell our mates about it and shout about it to anyone that will listen.

So, the goals we (and that means you too) are supporting right now are:

  • Gender Equality
  • Decent work for all

Creating more impact and awareness

But that’s not all. Through our inspirational pages here on the site and at events around the country we will be supporting and showcasing amazing individuals and businesses who are using tech and sheer determination to create change in the following areas too:

- Zero hunger – Olio and X Goodr
- Quality Education – Project Hello World
- Affordable and Clean Energy – Little Sun
- Climate Action – Adidas & Parley

And that is just the start. We have made it our mission to bring you the most innovative individuals with he biggest hearts and the smartest minds in all these areas. We are doing that so that you can see what you can be too, because despite their huge aspirations they are all ordinary people just like you – they just happen to believe that they can make extra ordinary things happen.

GENDER EQUALITY AND THE GLOBAL GOALS

The 2013 agenda for sustainable development promises to make human rights real for everyone everywhere and gender equality cuts across all 17 of the goals. Listen to why this is important.
